The advantages of teak wood flooring are superior to vinyl, PVC or WPC wood flooring.
In choosing materials for home floors, consumers are faced with various choices that each offer their own advantages. One material that is often taken into consideration is wooden flooring, be it solid wood, vinyl, PVC, or WPC (Wood Plastic Composite). Each type of wood flooring has different characteristics, so it is important to understand their advantages and disadvantages before deciding. When comparing teak wood flooring with vinyl, PVC, or WPC wood floors it will get obvious why teak flooring is considered superior.
Definition of Teak Wood Flooring
Teak wood flooring is a type of flooring made from whole pieces of wood, without any additional layers. Solid wood is cut directly from tree trunks and processed into planks of uniform thickness. The basic material for solid floors generally comes from types of hardwood such as oak, teak, bengkirai wood, merbau wood, etc., which have distinctive fibers and textures. Teak wood floors are known for their high durability, natural appearance and guaranteed quality.
Advantages of Teak Wood Flooring:
1. Long term durability
One of the main advantages of teak flooring is its ability to last for a long period of time. Because it is made from whole wood, teak floors have a strong and durable structure. Even after years of use, teak floors can be refinished and renewed, so they still look like new.
2. Better Visual Quality
Teak floors have a more natural and premium visual appearance compared to other floor materials. Each solid wood plank has a unique pattern, texture and color, giving a warm and elegant impression to the room. In addition, teak floors can be adapted to the desired interior design style, whether classic or modern.
3. High investment value
As a premium quality flooring material, teak flooring also has a high investment value. The investment made to have teak wood floors can be seen as an added value to the property, thereby increasing the selling price in the future. In addition, teak floors can also last longer than other alternatives, so long-term maintenance and replacement costs can be minimized.
4. Repair and Maintenance Capability
Teak wood flooring can be refinished several times over their lifetime. This polishing process can restore a new appearance to the floor, so there is no need for a total replacement. Apart from that, teak floors are also relatively easier to maintain, such as cleaning and maintenance.
5. Comfort and Security
Teak flooring has a smoother texture and is comfortable for feet. Apart from that, teak wood floors also have anti-slip properties which can reduce the risk of accidents, especially for homes with elderly family members or children.
6. Aesthetic Value and Luxury
Homes, hotels, malls and office buildings will have added value if the floors use flooring teak wood, not vinyl plastic wood floors which seem cheap.
Buildings made of solid wood have high aesthetic and artistic value, making the building look beautiful, luxurious and elegant. This can raise the status and authority of the owner in the eyes of society.
Apart from being beautiful to look at, it makes the occupants feel at home and also has a selling point at a higher price than ordinary buildings.
Comparison of teak wood floors with Vinyl, PVC, or WPC Wood Floors, even though vinyl, PVC, or WPC wood floors are sold at cheaper prices, teak floors are still considered superior in several aspects. Vinyl, PVC or WPC wood flooring generally has lower durability, the glue peels off easily, the colors fade quickly, the appearance is less attractive and the patterns and colors are boring, they don't last long, they can't be sold anymore and the investment value is low compared to teak flooring. In addition, the repair and maintenance process for vinyl, PVC or WPC wood floors tends to be more difficult and limited.
In conclusion, based on the description above, it can be concluded that teak flooring have significant advantages, they are durable, luxurious and can be resold, compared to vinyl, PVC or WPC wood floors. In terms of durability, visual quality, investment value, repairability, and comfort and safety, teak floors are superior in many aspects. Therefore, for consumers who want high quality floors and high resale value, teak wood flooring can be the right choice.
